The "Legacy of the Ancient World" gives you an extraordinary opportunity to explore the culture and society of ancient Greece and Rome up close, hands-on, and fully immersed in the treasures of the ancient world. Be a survey archaeologist in the Mediterranean for 10 days! Examine the archaeological remains and artistic heritage of several ancient Greek city-states; visit Athens and its legendary Acropolis, as well as Mycenae, Epidaurus, Delphi, and the islands of Delos and Mykonos. Continue your exploration of the classical world in Rome where courses like the Art & Archaeology of Ancient Rome or Blood, Sport & Spectacle enable you to examine Ancient Roman artifacts and ruins.
Live and breathe history in Rome, also called the "Eternal City." Rome's history of global power and cultural leadership spans more than two millennia. Today the city is a hub of contemporary culture, cuisine and fashion, and is one of Europe's major capitals of politics and commerce. Romans themselves are at once friendly and gregarious, and their love for their history and culture is often contagious.
Although host to a rich religious Catholic culture and the home of the Vatican and the Pope, Rome's history before Christianity is also evident in every angle of the ancient city. CEA courses enhance your experience of the city, highlighting for you Rome and Italy's past and current importance in such fields as archaeology, history, business, and politics. To study in Rome is to take advantage of an educational environment unavailable anywhere else.
