Location: Beijing, China
Student Enrollment: 14,000 undergraduate students; 242 international students
BIT is situated in Beijing, the capital city of P.R.China, the center of politics, culture, finance and international communication, as well as the most developed metropolis in northern China. As the largest hub for scientific research and culture, Beijing accommodates the National Library of China with the largest collection in China, and many major universities and authoritative research institutions. Beijing is also a world famous city with long history and places of interest, such as the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, Beihai Park, the Temple of Heaven, The Great Wall, Zhou Kou Dian Relic and the 2008 Olympic venues.
ACADEMIC INFORMATION AND COURSE REGISTRATION
Eligible Students: Sophomore standing or greater with a GPA of 2.5; graduate student
Language of Instruction: Chinese and English
Courses Taught in English: Yes. Courses may be subject to change and are not necessarily offered every semester. Please contact the Office of Study Abroad with further questions.
Duration of Program: Academic year, Fall, Spring semesters
Semester Dates: Fall: Beginning of September through end of January
Spring: Mid-February through mid-July
Academic Credit: Transfer Credit
Grades: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory. Courses taken at the host institution will be counted as credit hours and apply to the student's degree and graduation; however, the courses will not affect the student's GPA.
Tuition: MSU Tuition
Program Fees/Student Activity Fees: Students will be subject to the payment of course fees or student activity fees levied by the host university.
