Student Enrollment: 37,000 students; 4,300 international students
Duisburg is situated in North Rhine-Westphalia, the German state with the highest population density (18 million). Duisburg is home to 500,000 inhabitants. Surrounded by traditional and modern industry, trade companies, and harbor facilities, Duisburg is a vibrant contrast of the old and the new. Its city center is a harmonious combination of commercial, industrial, residential, shopping, and leisure facilities.
Eligible Students:  Sophomore standing or greater with a GPA of 2.5; graduate student
Language of Instruction:  The majority of semester courses are in German; BEST Summer program is in English
Courses Taught in English:  Business and Economics Summer Term (BEST)
Duration of Program:  Summer or Full Academic Year

Academic Credit:  Transfer Credit
Grades:  Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory. Courses taken at the host institution will be counted as credit hours and apply to the student's degree and graduation; however, the courses will not affect the student's GPA.

Program Fees/Student Activity Fees:  Students will be responsible for all expenses including but not limited to application fees, international fees, travel, food textbooks, clothing, health insurance, and all other debts incurred during the course of the exchange.
