Active experiences, such as visiting the Forum with your archeology professor, attending art history class inside the Vatican Palaces, or working on a team project that explores Italian wine culture, enhance lessons learned in class. Studying in a dynamic environment, where social interaction and collaborative learning drive the curriculum, offers a deeper understanding of Italian life and helps you develop the cultural fluency you need in a globalized world.

Where You'll Study

Students take classes at the CEA CAPA Rome Center, and optionally at the Providence College Center. The CEA CAPA Rome Center is in the vibrant Prati neighborhood, within walking distance of Vatican City, Castel Sant’Angelo, and other UNESCO World Heritage sites. This central location makes it easy to visit galleries, museums, art studios, local businesses, historic sites, food markets, and more—all designed to bring lessons taught in the classroom to life. Our unique collaboration with Providence College allows you to take courses at the Providence College Center and study theology and religion in the very heart of Christendom. Long a religious and cultural crossroads, Rome is the ideal place to delve into religious studies as you explore significant sites such as St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museums, and the Catacombs of Santa Priscilla. Students will receive a transcript from CEA CAPA’s School of Record, and - if opted for a PC course – also from Providence College upon completion of their program.
